Amanda grew up in Vestavia Hills outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Growing & preparing food was a celebration of love in her family: Amanda learned how to tend a garden from her Granny and how to turn its harvest into a delicious meal from her mother – both skills and passions that informed her professional future. Amanda studied Agronomy & Soils at Auburn University, her path in the restaurant industry however started in her teenage. Starting out as a dishwasher and ice cream scooper, her love for both food preparation as well as guest service had her working nearly every position in a restaurant since, including both back of house as well as front of house management. Amanda moved to New Orleans in May of 2020 to join the Martin’s Wine Cellar catering department. In 2021 Amanda joined the Link Restaurant Group as bartender at Cochon Butcher and quickly worked her way up, being promoted to Catering Sales Supervisor for Calcasieu Catering and Events later that year.
